Flow Motion Testing is a licensed backflow testing company helping businesses comply with annual safety regulations. The client needed a simple, conversion-focused landing page that clearly communicated their services, built trust, and encouraged visitors to book directly online. My role included understanding the user needs, mapping out the content strategy, designing a clean and intuitive layout.
The Process
1. Discovery & Strategy I started by interviewing the client to understand their goals, services, and target customers. We identified key differentiators: certified expertise, fast turnarounds, and friendly service. The audience was primarily homeowners and small businesses needing compliant and reliable backflow testing—often not fully aware of what backflow testing even is.
2. Content Planning & Wireframing I mapped out the landing page structure around three core goals:
Explain what backflow testing is (education)
Build trust with credibility markers (licensing, reviews, turnaround time)
Drive bookings with strong CTAs and mobile usability
The wireframe prioritized simplicity—clear headline, service overview, a 3-step “how it works,” and a bold booking section.
3. Visual Design I created a clean, professional aesthetic with calming blues and greys to reflect water safety and build trust. I used icons, spacing, and a strong visual hierarchy to guide users quickly toward the “Book Now” action. Design decisions focused on mobile-first responsiveness to align with how most customers would interact with the page.
